The Cradle of Rock n' Roll, this historic building is known worldwide to music lovers. Carl Perkins debuted "Blue Suede Shoes" there, Elvis Presley performed there regularly until his fame exploded after being introduced to Col. Tom Parker during a visit, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, the Browns, our own Pat Cupp, and many more stood on this stage. Beyond rock, the list is just as illustrious with Louis Armstrong, Lois Towles, Jay Franks, our own jazz illuminaries Jimmie Allen, Jerry Atkins, the color barrier busting Jazzfest 1956, and more. During a recent practice session, Patt Cupp commented "I think we just woke up a bunch of ghosts!" Silent for 45 years, and rockless for over 60, efforts are now underway to get his treasure back to the people with it's superb acoustics and great beauty.
